How the Impact Advocacy Foundation Helps Families Get to AdvocacyCon
- AdvocacyCon
We say it in the FAQ, we say it at registration, but it's worth its own post: cost should never be the reason a family doesn't make it to AdvocacyCon. That's exactly why the Impact Advocacy Foundation exists.
Who they are
The Impact Advocacy Foundation is a separate nonprofit, built specifically to make sure money isn't the thing standing between a family and this conference. Their mission is straightforward: unite experts, nonprofits, and advocates, and back it with real financial support so families of the missing and murdered can actually show up.
What the scholarship covers
The Foundation offers grants that cover travel and attendance costs for AdvocacyCon. Not a discount, not a partial offset, the whole point is removing the barrier entirely so a family's financial situation never decides whether they get access to this room.
How to apply
If you're a family member and cost is a concern, start with our family registration form, that's the front door for anything scholarship-related, and our team will connect you with the Foundation from there.
If you're in a position to give instead
Every scholarship comes from someone else's donation. If you're able to contribute, you can donate directly to the Impact Advocacy Foundation, and every dollar is tax-deductible. It's about as direct a line as you'll find between a donation and a family actually getting through the door.
We'll be honoring this year's scholarship recipients at AdvocacyCon 2026. If you want to see the families this fund has already helped, the Foundation keeps a running list on their site, worth a look if you want to understand exactly what this makes possible.
