Cieha Taylor was 28 years old when she disappeared from Plant City, Florida on February 6, 2020. She has not been seen since.
At around 4:00 p.m., Cieha dropped her boyfriend off at his home on Cowart Road in Plant City and left. About three hours later, her black Toyota Solara was found abandoned on railroad tracks nearby, roughly a mile from her boyfriend's house. The engine was still running, the driver's door was open, and her phone, wallet, and debit card were left inside. A responding officer moved the car off the tracks but did not run the plates or attempt to notify Cieha's family at the time — the car sat there for days before anyone connected it to her disappearance. Three weeks later, her shoes were found on a drainage pipe near a telephone pole where her missing persons flyer had been posted.
Cieha's mother, Canitha Taylor, has said publicly that she believes foul play was involved, based on her daughter's habits and the circumstances of the disappearance. Family members have noted it was completely unlike Cieha to leave her phone behind — she was always reachable and in contact with people who loved her.
Canitha has organized searches, distributed flyers, and maintains a Facebook page called "Finding Cieha" to keep her daughter's case visible. On what would have been Cieha's 33rd birthday, she placed a new banner at the site of Cieha's disappearance to renew attention on the case. A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Cieha's whereabouts, with Crime Stoppers contributing an additional $5,000.
More than five years later, Cieha's family is still searching for answers.
